As part of “Rotterdam celebrates the city!”, collector and former museum director Reyn van der Lugt brings contemporary future fantasies of Rotterdam together. The extensive group exhibition Utopian Dreams provokes a wider debate on the future of Rotterdam.
The Back Room – Charly van Rest
TENT and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen are jointly showing underexposed but iconic Rotterdam artists in the four-part solo exhibition series The Back Room. The work of Charly van Rest (1949) consists of assemblages, photographs, collages, sculptures and installations. The basis of his work lies in experimenting with technique, which he developed a witty and visually appealing imagery.
Both exhibitions are on view from 22/04/2016 to 10/07/2016
