It is said that the Dutch bought Manhattan from the American Indians for 60 guilders worth of beads. The European colonists introduced Millefiori trade beads as a monetary system. In an attempt to calculate the value of the bead we started a workshop with an on going production.

With this piece we bring to light the values we find dear in both art and everyday life. The value of a skill or craft. The ability, joy and comfort to maintain yourself and the independency that comes with it. The beauty, that has been once taken away from art we now find in craftsmanship. The emotional support and the efficiency of division of labor that lies in partnership, cooperation, family. The value of trust, appreciation and respect for one to another, expressed with the sharing of food and pleasure of conversation. All these come together at the dinner table.

A virtual gallery space is projected in the physical gallery space.Any person can build a variable installation with objects we provide. We raise questions about the value of objects and their immaterial representation.
