20.00 h Storie di Napoli – book launch Ben Laloua/Didier Pascal; Hans Aarsman reads
On the occasion of their book launch, the duo Ben Laloua/Didier Pascal talk with Mariette Dölle about the relationship between the autonomous and the commissioned design, and about the book. The publication Storie di Napoli is based on news reports about the city of Naples. The designers Ben Laloua/Didier Pascal examined the field of tension in this southern Italian city and how it is depicted in the mass media. Writer Hans Aarsman has penned a number of stories on found photos and unearthed facts for the publication. In TENT he reads a new story he wrote specially for this evening.
21.30 h Performance – artists’ band VORM
During the spectacular finals of the Weekend of Artists’ Bands in 2009, the recently formed artists’ band VORM won the main prize and the public award. Now they are back in TENT with a performance in which electronic sub-frequencies and their whistling organic counterparts channel the primal noise of the cosmos. VORM consists of the artists Bert Frings, Paul de Graaf, Theo de Jager, Koert Jobse and Sonia de Jager.
