Fourteen international artists invited the public to a temporary assembly across three Rotterdam art spaces: TENT, MAMA and ramfoundation. ‘Assemble Relatives’ was the graduation show of the Master Fine Art at Rotterdam’s Piet Zwart Institute.

The conversations, relationships and practices these artists developed over two years at the Piet Zwart Institute coalesced in this single moment, before they dispersed into new constellations. MAMA, TENT and ramfoundation provided the stage for a guided script that unfolded over ten days. First the artworks spoke for themselves, then they shifted positions toward each other and the audience.

The exhibition functioned as a collective array of singularities, with collaborations, artworks distributed en route, changing installations, songs and performances, both inside and outside the three venues.
