Katarina Zdjelar - Parapoetics

Parapoetics was the first significant solo exhibition of the Rotterdam-based artist Katarina Zdjelar. TENT presented a constellation of works, in which Zdjelar uses the singing, pronunciation, alteration or forgetting of language to examine notions of identity, authority and community.

In conjunction with the exhibition, the artist initiated a series of events around the theme of language, with speakers including performer/writer Caroline Bergvall, sociologist Willem Schinkel and philosopher Mladen Dolar. Special exhibition architecture was designed by Claus Wiersma.

An exhibition guidebook included a conversation between Katarina Zdjelar and Mariette Dölle.
