In Spangen, work is currently underway on The Modern Muses, a new mural by artist Naomi Rozalina King. The work is an ode to women in Rotterdam, also in light of 2025, Rotterdam's Year of the Woman. Inspired by encounters in the city and the community project Walk on By, which opened this year at TENT's new location, King brings together stories of connection and strength. The mural will be unveiled on November 21st at 4:00 PM by neighborhood mayor Jamila Amakran at Bellamystraat 64/66 in Spangen.
A commission from TENT Rotterdam, with support from the Municipality of Rotterdam, Carter Center, and Woonstad Rotterdam, as part of the global campaign Inform Women, Transform Lives.
