Spending Quality Time With My Quantified Self and The Back Room: Paul Beckman

On Thursday 11 February at 20.00 hrs, the second day of Art Rotterdam, two exhibitions will open in TENT: Spending Quality Time With My Quantified Self and The Back Room: Paul Beckman, the first part of a new collaboration with Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen. Spending Quality Time With My Quantified Self
This group show presents work by young artists who contemplate, deconstruct, and rearrange the intimate and complex relationship between the human body and digital technology. Participants: Momu & No Es, Anni Puolakka & Jenna Sutela, Amy Suo Wu, Anna Zett, Kate Cooper, Jenna Sutela, Alexandra Navratil, Miloš Trakilović and Maki Ueda. Curated by Niekolaas Johannes Lekkerkerk and Jesse van Oosten.

The Back Room: Paul Beckman (with Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen)
In 2016, TENT and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen will work on a special collaboration in which underexposed yet iconic Rotterdam artists feature in four solo exhibitions at TENT. The first artist in the series is Paul Beckman, who made furniture that took on a freer sense of form. Beckman’s work addressed critical questions about the way we shape our environment, and he examined the boundaries of art and design. Curated by Noor Mertens, curator Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.

Both exhibitions are on view in TENT until 10 April 2016.
