Meet the artist: Emma van der Leest

On Saturday 2 February Emma van der Leest (Foundr BlueCity Lab), nominee of the Dolf Henkes Award 2019 takes you around on a tour around her current expo at TENT. In the new material age Van der Leest envisions, humans co-create with nature to establish conditions in which organisms can grow materials and shapes. With her presentation at TENT, she invites us to imagine that a future is within reach where garments, food, and many other things around us are organically grown. Products made with living matter may become as common as the things we purchase today from vending machines.
