Pop Culture Zine Making Workshop

In collaboration with zinester RaeZor Beam aka Rae Parnell, you will work with other participants to explore, critique, and celebrate pop culture through zine making. The zines, which are independently published magazines, will be printed and copied so that you can take them home with you. The aim of the workshop is to spark conversations about the themes of the exhibition ‘Among other things, I’ve taken up smoking.’

RaeZor Beam is a researcher, writer, and space cadet based in The Hague, NL. They use mediums such as zine making, video production, and other creative avenues to share knowledge and make resources accessible. Their work focuses on the communities that they are a part of, specifically queer and trans communities of color.
