Placeholder x Tabaria

Placeholder is a new series of events born from a shared desire to create meaningful and supportive spaces for young people. We are pleased to welcome Tabaria Café as our first partner. With this pop-up event, we bring our platforms together in the same spirit: building community, encouraging dialogue, and anchoring our work in solidarity.

During this event, Palestine takes center stage, not as a theme, but as a lived reality. December carries layered meanings: it marks the fall of Assad, a turning point that invites many Syrians to reflect on a year of liberation from dictatorship and on a future beyond oppression. And while dates may shift, the reality remains unchanged: the violence of the Zionist regime in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria underscores that solidarity must remain steadfast and rooted in shared struggle.

This is equally true for our Sudanese communities, which continue to face devastating violence, mass displacement, and ongoing genocide. Our struggles are intertwined—as is our liberation.
