Performances, music, cake, cocktails
On Thursday evening 10 February, performances that react to the work of the nominated artists will be held in the exhibition spaces. The young Iranian artist Shahrokh Zia Ardalan developed a performance in response to Otto Egberts’ work. Mette Sterre presents a new performance and musician/artist Goslink performs music. Club Attent create a cocktail bar inspired by the work of Jasper Niens. The performance collective BLISS will announce the award ceremony.

About the Award
The Dolf Henkes Award is one of the larger prizes for visual art in the Netherlands and has been presented every two years to a prominent Rotterdam artist since 2004. The four nominees were selected by an expert jury chaired by Wim van Krimpen, former director of Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. This year for the first time the presentation of the award is accompanied by an exhibition; the work by Otto Egberts, Lara Almarcegui, Jasper Niens and Aji V.N. can be seen in TENT until 13 February.
