De Bende is a group of artists, designers, furniture makers and other creative spirits. This movement seeks constructive solutions for the huge mountain of leftover material created by our desire to consume. During De Wereld van de Witte de With, aided by the public, De Bende will be constructing Street Hacking Furniture, small functional objects designed for the street scene.
De Bende will be at work all day Friday and Saturday.
Drunken Lion Soundsystem was set up in 2004 by a group of friends from Rotterdam. By now, this collective of artists, set designers, designers and graphic designers with a passion for music and visuals, has achieved cult status in Rotterdam and far beyond. For De Wereld van Witte de With, the Drunken Lion Soundsystem in collaboration with De Bende are creating a Drunken Lion Inn, a place where the public receives a warm welcome and can expect a variety of (musical) surprises.
Drunken Lion Inn opens on Friday evening and remains open all day Saturday.
Mesh Print Club is a silk-screen printing workplace in Rotterdam for professionals in the visual sector and enthusiastic or curious amateurs. With the aim of bringing together different people with very different backgrounds and specialities, Mesh Print Club is a platform for experiment and information exchange in the area of manual image reproduction (silk-screen techniques).
The Mesh Print Club bus will be parked in front of TENT all day on Sunday 16 September. The public can then have different designs, specially made for 24 hr culture, silk-screened onto various items, such as bags, posters and T-shirts.
