Temporarily Untitled’s starting point was the world of young people and their interests. In response to questions from the students, the research team brought in material that questioned the student’s position and viewpoint: this interaction acted as a springboard, a mirror, anchor, or framework.

New questions were formulated at the end of every Thursday afternoon session, such as: what did you discover? How do you want to proceed? What do you need to get there? By evaluating and documenting their work, the students learned to recognise valuable moments and strategies. Together with the students, the work’s content was reviewed: when does something work and why?

Each session began with a working lunch that set the tone for the afternoon. For example, a lunch could be focused on the day’s news and aim to provide a context for the kinds of questions asked while watching the news.

For Sophie Krier, TENT’s education space was one in which study and shared curiosity were paramount. The Temporarily Untitled temporary workshop functioned as the base and archive for the students’ initiatives.
