The art expedition for young researchers. During this interactive tour, pupils from the middle years of primary education are introduced to artists who show work that stimulates our senses and cracks our brains.
If there is one thing that students of this age are good at, it is talking about art. “Children are delightfully impulsive, without thinking too much they can sometimes name characteristics of a work of art that an average art critic would think about for even longer.” According to an art mediator from TENT.
The students go on an art expedition in TENT as young researchers. This adventure starts with reading a story that was written especially for this workshop by Jeroen Aalbers (you know, the writer of the Borre books). Then, together with an experienced art mediator, the students unravel the meanings and stories that are hidden behind the artworks. Their own associations, stories, opinions and of course all the senses play a major role in this.
