Not a single story

Rotterdam has 630.000 residents from more than 170 different nationalities. Diversity, like migration is a politically sensitive question in this city, as in many others. The students have addressed these issues from various perspectives; reflecting on concepts such as white privilege, institutional racism and social inclusion in their work. The students sought ways to represent the stories they collected over a four-month research period. Some want to start a dialogue, or aspire to make a statement, and others want to immerse themselves entirely in the subject matter.
