An ongoing film programme compiled by filmmaker Karel Doing, that links historical documentaries about Surinam to current films, juxtaposing the contrasting lines of approach.

September 1-30: Faya Lobbi, the much-praised colour film made in 1960 by documentary filmmaker Herman van der Horst. The documentary paints a picture of the Surinamese population, without voice-over commentary. Furthermore, the compelling documentary Stedman (2003) by Leon Giesen in which the punitive expedition led by mercenary John Stedman against the rebelling slaves is reconstructed.
