In the show everything revolves around the ‘Drifters.’ These mysterious alien boy scouts have landed on Earth in order to help humanity. Unhindered by any prior knowledge of the Earth and its inhabitants, the Drifters excel in bizarre, surreal and sometimes poignant experiments. In the dark Night of the Museum, Drifter TV brings animation in the broadest sense of the word! Since its very beginning, animation has made (the expression of) ideas and fantasies possible. VJ Drifter makes anarchic and willful use of film images and media technology. Projections follow one another in a rapid tempo. Assisted by DJ Drifter, mixing panels and speakers, beamers and projectors, this set is the Museum Night version of the exhibition Borderline Behaviour – Drawn Towards Animation.

Video clips of Drifter TV have been selected for a long list of festivals in the Netherlands and abroad. In 2004 they received a Tommy Award for best music video at the One Minute Awards in Paradiso Amsterdam. In 2005 they won the MTV VJ contest Visual Sensations. The first DVD of Drifter TV, Drifters from Outer Space was released in 2006 at Submarine. Drifter TV consists of Nils Mühlenbruch (VJ Drifter) and Remko van der Drift (DJ Drifter).
