Pablo Pijnappel - Walderedo
As third and last part of Contemporary Passages: Temporary Roots and Interweaving Paths, TENT presents Pablo Pijnappel’s most recent film, Walderedo. This 16mm film was shot in Brazil and Japan and traces the paths taken by the artist’s father in and between these two countries. In the wake of Felicitas and Andrew Reid, Walderedo continues Pijnappel’s consideration of narratives from his own family history. On the occasion of this screening, the artist will comment in dialogue with the curator on some aspects of his work, such as the mechanisms of memory, the influence of psychiatry and the dynamics of private relations.
